Terms of service
Version 1.0. In force from 6 October 2026.
In short
These terms are the agreement between you and Moving parts. Please read them before you create an account or buy a plan. If something here is unclear, write to usemovingparts@gmail.com.
1. Who we are, and who takes your payment
Moving parts is published by Benjamin Nespoulous, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, "EI") registered in France. Address: 45 Avenue Lacassagne, 69003 Lyon. SIRET: 889 337 986 00026. In these terms, "we" means Moving parts.
We make the product and we are responsible for it.
Payments are handled by Link, a service of Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company. Link is the merchant of record: it shows you the payment page, charges you, works out and collects any tax, and sends you the receipt and the invoice. Your bank statement will show a line starting with "LINK.COM". When you pay, you also accept Link's own terms, shown on the payment page and at link.com/terms.
For a question about a payment, a receipt or an invoice, contact Link at support.link.com/topics/sold-through-link. For anything about the product or your account, contact us.
2. Your account
You need an account to copy or download anything. We do not use passwords: you sign in with a link we send to your email address, or with Google.
One account is for one person. Do not share your account, your sign-in links or your session with anyone else.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.
You can delete your account at any time from the account page. We send a confirmation link by email first. Section 12 explains what deletion does.
3. Plans and prices
Free: an account with no payment. It gives full access to the components we mark as free.
Monthly: 17 euros per month. It runs month to month with no fixed term, until you or we end it.
Yearly: 144 euros per year. It runs for 12 months and renews for a further 12 months each time, unless it is cancelled first.
Lifetime: 299 euros, paid once. The first 100 Lifetime purchases are priced at 199 euros. Section 11 says exactly what "lifetime" means.
Prices are shown excluding VAT. Link adds the VAT of your country on the payment page; if you buy as a business and enter a valid EU VAT number, no VAT is added where the reverse charge applies. Outside the euro area, Link shows and charges a converted price in your local currency. For a subscription paid in a local currency, the amount can vary slightly from one payment to the next, because the exchange rate is set on each payment date.
We can change prices for new purchases at any time. If we change the price of a subscription you already have, we tell you by email at least 30 days before the renewal it applies to, and you can cancel before then.
4. When your access starts
Paid access opens as soon as Link confirms your payment, usually within seconds. By buying, you ask us to give you access straight away.
5. Renewal
Monthly and Yearly plans renew automatically, and Link charges the same payment method, until the plan is cancelled.
Before each yearly renewal we send you an email reminder, between three months and one month before the last day on which you can stop the renewal. The reminder states that date.
6. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time, online, in a few clicks: open your account and choose "Cancel membership", or use the "Cancel membership" link at the bottom of every page, or cancel from your Link account at link.com. You do not have to give a reason.
Please read this carefully, because it is unusual. When you cancel:
- your access to paid components stops straight away, not at the end of the period you have paid for;
- the period already started is not refunded, unless the law gives you that right;
- until the date your period would have ended, you can undo the cancellation from the same place, and your access comes back at once.
We show this again on the screen where you cancel, and we confirm it by email with the date and the effects of the cancellation.
What you have already built into a project stays yours to use, under the Licence.
7. Changing your mind: right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer living in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason. The Refund policy explains how, and what happens to your access. Nothing in these terms limits that right.
8. If a payment fails
If a renewal payment fails, Link tries again and you are told by email. Your access stays open for 7 days from the first failure, so that you can update your payment method. If the payment has still not gone through after 7 days, access to paid components closes. It reopens as soon as the payment succeeds.
9. If you dispute a payment with your bank
If you open a dispute (a "chargeback") with your bank or card issuer, access to paid components is paused while the dispute is open, and a subscription stops renewing. If the dispute is decided in our favour, or you withdraw it, your access is restored as it was. Please write to us first: most problems are solved faster that way.
This does not limit any right you have to contest a payment you did not authorise.
10. Refunds and access
When a purchase is refunded, by us or by Link, the access it paid for ends at that moment. This applies to subscriptions and to Lifetime. The Refund policy has the details.
11. What "lifetime" means
Lifetime access is access for as long as Moving parts exists. It is not tied to your lifetime or ours.
It covers everything in the library on the day you buy, and everything we add or update afterwards, at no extra cost. If Moving parts changes its name or its web address, your access follows.
Lifetime access belongs to one person and one account. It cannot be sold, given away, shared or transferred.
We may stop selling Lifetime to new customers at any time. That changes nothing for people who already have it.
If you delete your account, your Lifetime access ends with it and is not refunded. We tell you this again before you confirm.
12. Changes to the library, and closing an account
The library changes over time. We add components, improve them, and may retire one for a good reason, for example a security problem, a rights problem, or a dependency that no longer works. A retired component stays covered by the Licence for anything you already took.
If we make a change that seriously reduces what you paid for, we tell you by email in advance, and you can end your plan and get a refund of the unused part of the period you paid for.
When your account is deleted, your profile, your sessions and your history are erased, and any running subscription is stopped at Link so that you are not charged again. The Privacy policy says what is erased.
13. If Moving parts closes
We may decide to close Moving parts. If we do:
- we tell every member by email at least 60 days before the closing date;
- subscriptions stop renewing, and a yearly subscriber is refunded the unused part of the year;
- every Lifetime member is given a final download: one archive with the latest readable source of every component in the library on the closing date, with its documentation. It stays available for at least 90 days. The Licence keeps applying to it, with no end date.
The final download cannot include material we have no right to pass on, such as third-party fonts or photographs. We will list anything left out.
14. Fair use and suspension
To keep the library fair for paying members:
- there is a limit of 120 file downloads per hour per account;
- each code file you take carries a short line naming your account by a coded identifier and the date. It is not your name or your email;
- we keep a log of the files each account takes. The Privacy policy says what is in it.
Unusual activity, such as downloads from several countries within one day, is flagged to a person. Nothing is closed automatically for that reason.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Licence, for example by sharing access, republishing the source, or bulk-copying the library. Unless the case is serious or urgent, we write to you first and give you 14 days to answer. If we close a paid account without a breach on your side, we refund the unused part.
15. Licence
Your right to use the components is set out in the Licence, which is part of these terms.
16. Your legal guarantees
If you are a consumer, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and digital services, and from the legal guarantee against hidden defects. If a component does not match its description or does not work as it should, tell us: we will fix it, or if we cannot within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a price reduction or to end the contract and be refunded.
French law requires the following notice, in its official wording:
1° Le professionnel refuse de mettre le contenu numérique ou le service numérique en conformité ;
2° La mise en conformité du contenu numérique ou du service numérique est retardée de manière injustifiée ;
3° La mise en conformité du contenu numérique ou du service numérique ne peut intervenir sans frais imposés au consommateur ;
4° La mise en conformité du contenu numérique ou du service numérique occasionne un inconvénient majeur pour le consommateur ;
17. Our responsibility
We provide the components with care, and we document how to use them. You are responsible for how you build them into your own projects and for testing the result.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms removes or limits the rights the law gives you.
If you use Moving parts for your business, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect loss. This limit does not apply to fraud, gross negligence, or anything the law does not allow us to limit.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the law or the product changes. We tell account holders by email at least 30 days before a change that affects their rights. If you do not agree, you can end your plan before the change applies and be refunded the unused part. Each version has a number and a date, and earlier versions stay available on request.
19. Complaints
Write to us first at usemovingparts@gmail.com. We answer within 14 days.
20. Law and courts
These terms are governed by French law.
If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts of that country.
If you use Moving parts for your business, the courts of Lyon have jurisdiction.
